2 Pregnant Rescued Cats

We have rescued 2 cats from the neighbouring area of our village in CROATIA named Rosa and Aia. These two beauties are mother and daughter and have been sticking together. Both of them have been trapped in a continual cycle of being pregnant and giving birth. The saddest thing is that their babies rarely survive, due to the aggressive male cats in the village which kill them, when not guarded, in order to get the queen into heat again as soon as possible! This is heartbreaking and we could no longer witness it.

Rosa had to have a C-section 3 weeks ago (1st August), as the first kitten to come out was coming out tail first. Had this not been available to her, we were told by the vet that all of her kittens would have died the next day, and she soon after. She gave birth to 6 healthy little balls of fur and they have since been growing fast and developing nicely.

We are currently looking after Rosa and her kittens and are in the process of finding the kittens forever homes <3

Meanwhile, we already have rescue pets from before and are struggling with the additional costs, including vet visits, the C-section and sterilisations, worming tablets, extra food which is specifically for queen's, kitten formula, extra sand, transport costs etc.
