Given my interest in Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action Films and Asian Cinema, I want to preserve the history of these genres. The history of these genres has been lost through the years and has not been given its due respect. These genres have contributed extensively to the success of the film industry worldwide. Yet, audiences have been robbed of being exposed to great films within these genres. This has caused a gap between US and International film industries being able to collaborate more effectively and share film resources including financial funding and professional talent.

Why aren't movie theatres showing more films in the Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action Films and Asian Cinema genres? Why do audiences have to wait until a special festival event is held to see certain films in this genre? They have erroneously determined that US audiences wouldn't be interested and that Asian and other International audiences wouldn't accept films from the US.

Poor judgement on their part, because obviously, there is a demand for such films, that mainstream film organizations foolishly keep ignoring. Wellgo USA is a premier distributor of Asian films and related genres, http://www.wellgousa.com/.

There are tons of Facebook groups dedicated to the genres. I am a proud member of Asian Action Cinema Association, https://www.facebook.com/groups/asianactioncinemaassociation/, Our Legend: Donnie Yen, who is my all time favorite Martial Artist next to Bruce Lee, https://www.facebook.com/groups/613054908723870/; Bring Back Donnie Yen and Wilson Yip For Ip Man 3 in 3D, a community page I manage, https://www.facebook.com/BringBackDonnieYenAndWilsonYipForIpMan3; Jet Li News, https://www.facebook.com/groups/jetlinews/; Mr. Yuen Biao & anything of him, https://www.facebook.com/groups/380578711966147/; Fight Choreography: The Art of Non-Verbal Dialogue by John Kreng, https://www.facebook.com/groups/45865803001/; and last but not least, Martial Arts Action Cinema (M.A.A.C) with David Vo.

Well, I am going to give honor where honor is due for the historical richness, influence and impact that Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action Films and Asian Cinema offers.

The name of the project is Martial Arts Film House. I want the theatre to have that "family movie night" feel to it, like when everyone gathers around the television, sharing popcorn and enjoying a good movie or two together.

Funding will be used to pay for :

a) a building location for the theatre

b) purchase licensing rights to films

c) offer cafe/eatery/concession

d) offer gift/novelty shop

e) house a museum/wall of fame

f) sponsor special red carpet events

g) show exclusively Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action and Asian Cinema related films

h) capital to operate the theatre 24/7 (that's right)

i) showcase the talents of aspiring filmmakers, performers, etc.

The benefits of such a project will

a) Bridge the gap between US and International film industries and commissions

b) Revitalize the various film industries's interest in Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action Films and Asian Cinema

c) Create jobs for the unemployed and revenue for surrounding communities where the theatre would be located

d) Serve as an educational tool for students, scholars in learning about the Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action Films and Asian Cinema genres

e) To provide a safe haven for children to have something productive to do after school. Remember the days when you just stayed in the movie theatre all day watching films? This is how many of us were introduced to Bruce Lee and other notable performers.

f) Become a hot tourist attraction

Incentives for supporting this project includes

a) special discounts to screenings and events at the theatre

b) access to famed memorabilia from the films screened

c) opportunties to showcase your film idea, talent, project, etc.

d) participate in contests and opportunties to win prizes

e) membership packages and offers

f) meet and greet celebrity guests

g) access to classes and training in Martial Arts/Mixed Martial Arts/Action Films

All supporters are eligible for the above incentives once the theatre is open and operating. However, To obtain gift/reward for your donation now, you can choose the gift you want. Yep. That's right. I am going to let you tell me what you want in exchange for your donation.

Now, of course, your gift/reward request must be within reason. For example, if you donate $25, please do not expect a car in return (lol). If you request a gift certificate, theatre tickets, then that is a reasonable gift/reward request for a donation of this amount.

For major investors, I am requesting that you submit a one page proposal of what you want in exchange for your donation.

DISCLAIMER: Gifts/Rewards are subject to change
based upon availibility and feasibility.
