1515 South Main Street Jewelry Company: Bringing a jewelry company back from 1943

We are going back to the year 1943 to bring back my fathers jewelry company back as the 1515 South Main Street Jewelry Company.

Way back in the 1940 my Dad started The Palomar Watch Company at 315 West Hill Street in Los Angeles. The Palomar Company was extremely successful and expanded into watchbands and clocks.

As the business grew Palomar moved to 1515 South Main Street in downtown Los Angeles. Now you get where we got the name for our company. My Dad left Palomar after I was born to open up a jewelry store in Granada Hills.

Dad opened House Of Time Jewelers in 1959 at the brand new shopping center at the corner of Balboa and Devonshire Street. House Of Time became one of the most successful jewelers in the San Fernando Valley by offering new and unique designs.

With over 300 designs our company is hoping to offer a few designs each month starting in January 2018 online. Our designs will now be offered in silver with real diamonds, colored stones and pearls. The main competitor of our company Pandora has much greater resources but I think our designs we win us many new customers in the long run.

At the start our company will outsource the casting and finishing of all our jewelry. However to keep our focus on quality, we will furnish our contractors all gems to be used in the manufacture of our jewelry.

As our company grows and when it is feasible with enough sales over a period of time we will consider moving all operations in house.

With website sales dedicated to our initial retail base of silver customers at some point we would consider adding sales to retail jewelers of our designs in 14kt and 18kt. This would mark the return of the 1515 South Main Street Jewelry Company, Inc. to the various jewelry shows across the country.
