We are a group of 2 like-minded Communication Specialists. We met in Leeds when we were undertaking our postgraduate study at the University of Leeds. During our term, we knew that we are meant to do something together.
The core principle that drives this action is our shared purpose to educate people. We came from a background that enables us to obtain our human rights. Yet, we witness that there are many people who are not as "lucky" as we are. As a result, we often find great potentials are caught up in situations that deprive them from their human rights. Therefore, we are here to create a path so children from marginalized communities could walk in the same journey as we do.
We believe that people are intelligent and what they need is an equal access that enables them to showcase their potentials. Our best bet to set the potential great-minds free is through education, notably critical thinking and problem solving skills. Children should be allowed to be children. A 10 years old should not worry about anything else other than studying. Let the worries about providing proper education fall onto the shoulders of the elders. Yet, the parents or school entity cannot always carry the task alone. Therefore, we are here to share the burden by donating an allowance to 150 students in need. Our allowance will come in the form of a backpacks and packages of stationery that are instrumental to seize ideas and imagination of future leaders.
We are a group of 2 who intend to take action by starting small. We start this project in our home countries and cherry-picked one country that we believe are in need. Below are the three countries where we are starting this journey of possibilities: So, come on board this train of change. Donate whatever you can, spread the word and help us make this goal a reality.
