November 12, 2019 I watched a video on https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07t59x2 about a 13-year boy named Ranneil who quit school to support his family. He now dives into polluted waters to retrieve plastic waste, the result of a pay-as-you-go, single-use plastic culture that is devastating the environment. According to one study, it's estimated that Filipinos dispose of 163 million micro-household goods sachets a day… that’s enough to cover the entire area of Metropolitan Manila 30cm deep in plastic waste.

Watching this video of Ranneil diving in heaps of rubbish and plastic waste to raise a few pennies to feed his family torn a hole in my heart. I wished that I had not watched the video but since I did I feel compelled to help him somehow. Of course, I live in America and do not know anything about him or his family but the video report by Video by Howard Johnson and Virma Simonette would be the ones to contact Ranneil's family to ensure that they receive any fund raised. Please help if you can. Thank you.
