I am doing a 12k Obstacle/Mud run called Uventure Run on 30th September 2017
I always feel when doing events like this I should be raising money for a worthy cause. I have done a couple of runs before, but not this distance and apparently this one is tough.
I am raising money, for a small Taekwon-do (Korean martial arts) club in Cambridge and Newmarker I've been a member for for at least the last 16 years, without the instructor, Senior Master Derek Blackburn 8th Degree, I wouldn't have the skillset, confidence and the 3rd Dan I achieved recently.
The club recently lost some kit due to someone disposing of it, without asking who it belonged to, . A recent trip to Glasgow from England cost a fair bit which he personally paid, and it was mostly to support my with my Grading, and to share his Taekwon-do knowledge with other people.
My way of saying thank you, is by doing this run, and hopefully, donating what I have earned for him to buy replacements for the kit that was thrown away as I mentioned above.
Feel free to ask more about Taekwon-do if you'd like more info
