125km in a day – cycle challenge!

On the 30th of June, I’m going to cycle 125km in one day from Brighton to Capel in Surrey and back. I’ve never cycled this far before. But I’m pretty stubborn so I’m hoping that will help.

We are raising money for the Holy Cross Hospital which provides highly specialised rehab for 40 people with extremely complex needs caused by profound injury or a serious neurological condition. The bike ride is being organised by family and friends of loved ones receiving care in this hospital to raise money for a walkway and viewing platform into the surrounding woodland so that patients will be able to enjoy the fresh air, sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors.

Engineers and other professionals have already committed their time to the project, and friends and families have been busy raising money towards materials. There’s just £10K left to raise.
