LIFE WISDOM

DISCE PUELLA ! I heard often from my school teacher of Latin and ancient history. I did. By the age of 15 I developed true love for antiquity & invited classmates to my diary with the line "Littera Scripta Manet" which a few years ago became the title of my poem which reveals my literary & life Credo. In recent years I do my best to make sure that my readers take to heart the Latin adage "Omnis Dies Facit Historiam" (Every Day Makes History). As it should but does not because history is a neglected area.

THE AIM of my book series is to teach the young and adults alike HOW TO LIVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL & HAPPY by using wisdom in KEY AREAS of human life, such as ethics and values, politics, family, love, friendship, health, life-death, courage, peace, equality, justice. "Life Wisdom" series will be attractive, unique, deep, meaningful by simultaneously going back to the past & back to the future. To the past as long millennia away & to the future of us-contemporaries & our Planet Earth. The book is by no means a textbook !! It falls in the category of literature and creative art. And that's why, no doubt, it will teach its readers more effectively.

EACH 100 pages book in soft covers will be 50/50 texts and my black and white pictures. The text part will consist of wise quotes, short biographical notes about authors as well as a few of my own "semi poems" relevant to each book KEY AREA. Their authors are brilliant ancient Greeks , Romans, Chinese & other ancient Greats as well as outstanding contemporaries & pillars of wisdom, intellect and creativity in all key historical areas in between. HISTORY is largely the name of the game. "History is the teacher of life" & " History repeats itself", I am reminding.

ANCIENT HISTORY with its great emphasis on getting to know oneself and ethics is either totally absent from school programs or treated so superficially that students leave school not knowing even BASICS which MAN should know to grow & act with integrity & life wisdom. So people start life rootless and results are between sad & tragic. History taught us about causes and effects of so much evil. Why do we repeat mistakes which sank ships of our ancestors, so to speak? How can we avoid sinking our ship--Planet Earth with all humanity, ourselves included ? Why not teach citizens of the world to copy victories of all kind of the world heroes dead and alive?

THE XXI century continues to give us new proofs that busy, overworked people read less and less. It is well known that short, attractive books sell better and its lessons are easier absorbed by tired brains. Especially if those lessons are attractively packaged. That's what my series is going to be like.
Besides rewards I will list in the given section, I will gladly respond to needs of those who will help me publish the first 3 books which will get my project off the ground. Enthusiastic and passionate about my project --I will gladly accept financial help now in exchange for my free lectures for schools, universities and other institutions later, after at least the first book is published and delivered to you. I am ready to sign such upfront agreements.
