Campaign Story
Greetings, All!
I am going to Ladakh in June 2018 as part of a team from my school (Tanglin Trust School, Singapore), to volunteer at Himalayan Health Project (https://himalayanhealthproject.org).
This is an initiative that helps to diagnose and treat people living in remote villages around the region.
While the remit is the general health of the community, they have a particularly noteworthy record relating to cancer-related treatments. The doctor running the Project has helped to diagnose early stages of cervical cancer among many women, saving many lives, thanks to the medical equipment obtained through the generosity of different donors.
In order to raise donations for ongoing operations for this worthy cause, I will be doing the 10K Music Run this month in Singapore, and by raising this money, I hope to contribute towards the purchasing of more medical equipment to be donated to this Project, so that more lives can be improved in Ladakh.
