Help for No-Work No-Pay Workers affected by Covid19 Lockdown

Almost everyone in the world today battles the Covid-19 Virus, an unseen enemy of human. During this time the Philippines and many Filipinos are also battling not just the virus but also the concern of having a food to their table to feed their family on a day to day basis.

Our small barangay (village) in Santa Lucia Santa Ana Pampanga Philippines is home to almost 2,000 households, of which majority of the families are part of the informal workers in the country. There are those who work for construction, retail shops, drivers of tricycle/jeepneys and small vendors. These informal workers are on a No-Work No-Pay basis and live their life on a daily or weekly income from their work. Most of which earns below the minimum wage.

Despite the Government help, we hear, see and feel in our hearts their need of our help. These families don't have savings, they don't have stocks for food, their work are on hold because of the current enhanced community quarantine (lock-down) and we wanted to help them.

With this GoFundMe campaign we target to achieve in giving away food packs for 1,000 families which is worth $10 each, a food pack that might not be enough to feed them for days but will already help them to fight the current situation all of us are facing. We ask those of good hearts to share some to feed some.

On our small way, we already tried giving some, with 3kg of rice but our resources only able to give away 130 packs. Family Page - Community Service
