2017-03-03 - UPDATE!
PLEASE HELP US!
THE SHELTER NEEDS TO BE READY BY MARCH 19TH
So far we have spent 1.6 million THB (approx 46 000 USD) to build the wall around our land that the multiplicity required for us to have the shelter in the area. We have so far been able to install electricity, water system and fill ponds with soil to give more space for kennels. We will leave one big pond for the dogs to swim in, it also gives a nice area for volunteers to take dogs for walks.
The costs so far have been sponsored by our wonderful supporters who have donated and made a difference. Some of the costs are covered by loans and one part of the the wall is built with the constructor giving us the possibility to pay the fee of 300 000 THB within two months.
To finish the shelter and the constructions needed to move the dogs we lack 1.2 MILLION THB (approx 36 000 USD). And this is money we need to raise in THREE weeks which is making us desperate. In three weeks we are loosing our old land and the dogs need to be moved. But to do that we MUST finish our new shelter.
PLEASE DONATE TODAY! Tell your friends to help, ask you work place if they want to sponsor and talk to everyone you meet about our needs. WE CAN ONLY DO THIS WITH YOU HELP!

2017-02-24 - UPDATE!
We are running out of time. In one month we must move our dogs from the old land to the new. But we still lack a lot of fundings to finish the new shelter. Please continue to support our fundraising and to spred the word.
We are in DESPERATE need of your donations!
2017-01-07 - UPDATE!
As many of you know we are loosing the land where we have the shelter now and this has put us in a desperate situation. We started a fundraising to buy new land but understood that we wouldn't have a chance to get the money needed to buy it ourselves.
A company heard about our situation and offered to buy the land and lease it to us on long term. So now it is done! And we will be able to stay as long as we want. This is the most wonderful thing that could happen to us.
The land is 5 rai (2 acres / 0,8 hectares) which is more than the dubble the size we have today. On the land there is two buildings already. One will be office and home for the staff and in the second building we will be able to offer accommodation for volunteers.
The land has a big pond for the dogs to take baths in and it makes a nice strolling area around the pond where volunteers can take dogs for walks. And we only have one neighbor, and they love dogs.
But still we are not out of the woods. We need to build a new shelter and are about 800 000 THB (23 000 USD / 21 000 EUR) short.
We are so grateful to you that have supported our fundraising and we hope that you will continue to donate so that we can build a new shelter and help more dogs.
All donations and expenses is accounted for on our website and if you have any questions regarding our finances feel free to contact us at [email protected].
We will update you along the way and once again THANK YOU for your donations. Please continue to spread the word about our work.

ORIGINAL POST
We will lose the land where our shelter is located today! This means that over 100 dogs will lose there home and we are desperate to figure out the situation.
It is really hard to find suitable land to build a shelter and therefor we are looking to buy. There is a place that would be perfect where there already are houses for staff and volunteers to live and also the possibility to have a small clinic. The land is beautiful with a small lake for the dogs to swim in and we will be able to build a bigger shelter than we have now which means that we can help even more dogs.
Dog Rescue Thailand is a non profit organization located in Laem Mae Phim in Rayong and is run by Swedish women. Every day we care for 200+ dogs by feeding them (about 100 in our shelter and another 100 on the streets), giving medical care and sterilize as many as possible to prevent more unwanted puppies from being born into misery. We have no support from Thai authorities, no big sponsors or money on the bank. We are only able to do this by donations from other animal lovers.
The price for the land is a total of 4 million (113 000 USD) Thai Baht and we have to do a down payment of 2 million Thai Baht before January ends. Please help us, we can not let the dogs down!
