Stelios Habipis, the beloved guitarist known to Greek independent music scene veterans primarily as a member of the 80s Athenian band Libido Blume, a man of exceptional stature and ethos, must undergo open heart surgery.

Stelios has already had Coronary Angioplasty involving the insertion of a balloon, a stent and a pacemaker that saved his life after a series of heart attacks, which unfortunately also affected his kidney function.

The costs that arise after serious types of surgery are many, and they extend beyond the payment of medical bills, and the numerous follow-up tests. As the patient's and the carer's lives change, day-to-day expenses accumulate, for example spending on the endless Covid testing that is required of Stelios' sister who transports him and stays by his side in the hospital at all times. And if you are in the hospital you don't cook at home... You get the picture.
