【Ukrainian crisis】Help People Evacuate from War Zone to Shelters

Volunteer Center Jack Team is a volunteer organization of local residents from Mariupol and international volunteers, represented by former training gym coach Yevhen Tuzov (Jack). We have been volunteering at the grassroots level, such as helping people evacuate to safer places, providing shelters, and providing emergency supplies to the citizens in hazardous areas where The Red Cross cannot enter.

As the war drags on and Russia continues to escalate the situation, there is so much to be done.

【What We Do】

■ Help people evacuate from dangerous areas where the Russian attacks continue

We support the evacuation of residents left behind in Mariupol, Dnipro and other surrounding areas.

■ Provide shelters

We provide shelters in Dnipro.

■ Provide food, water, medicine, and daily necessities to residents who remain in dangerous areas

【How Donations Are Used】

■ Purchase a Car for Resident’s Evacuation and Transportation of Relief Supplies

We need a car to evacuate residents and transport relief supplies.

■ Provide Relief Supplies

There is an urgent need to provide emergency treatments, medicines and daily necessities to those left behind in dangerous areas and those living in shelters.

Examples of necessary supplies are as follows.

・ First aid kit (bandage, hemostatic pad, disinfectant, etc.)

・ Pharmaceuticals

・Food

・ Water, water purifier, water purification tablet

・ Blankets and cots

・ Other daily necessities

【はじめに】

2月24日に始まったロシアのウクライナ侵攻による人道危機をうけて、ウクライナの人々は日本を含む世界からの支援を必要としています。しかし、危険地域に取り残された人々には食料や医薬品等の物資が届かず、避難することもできず、餓死する人も出てきています。

Jack Teamは、元トレーニングジムコーチのエフゲニー・トゥゾフ（Jack）さんを代表するマリウポリ出身の地元住民が集うボランティア団体です。こういった市民に対する緊急物資の提供や、避難所の提供を行なってきました。国際赤十字も入れない地域で常に危険と隣り合わせの中、地元ボランティアならではの草の根の支援にあたってきました。

【支援活動内容】

これまで行ってきた活動内容は以下の通りです。

・ロシア軍の攻撃が続く危険地域からの人々の脱出支援

マリウポリやドニプロ、その他周辺地域に取り残された住民を国外および国内の比較的安全な地域へと車で避難する支援を行なっています。

・避難所の提供

自身の経営するトレーニング施設を避難所として開放し、避難生活支援を行なっています。

・危険地域に残る住民への食料、水、医薬品、生活必需品の提供

被害に遭った市民の緊急治療に必要なファーストエイドキットや医薬品の提供、また食料や水などの生活必需品を提供しています。

【寄付を通して支援頂きたいこと】

・住民の避難、および支援物資運送のための車の購入

住民の避難や支援物資運送には車が必要不可欠となっています。車が一台増えるだけで活動の幅を広げることができます。

・支援物資の提供

危険地域に取り残された人々や避難所で生活を送る人々への緊急治療、医薬品や生活必需品の提供が急務となっています。必要な物資の例は以下の通りです。

・ファーストエイドキット（包帯、止血パッド、消毒液等）

・医薬品

・食料

・水、浄水機、浄水タブレット

・毛布、簡易ベッド

・その他生活必需品
