Οι επιθέσεις της αστυνομίας, με κυβερνητική εντολή, ενάντια στους διαδηλωτές των διαδηλώσεων της 17^ης Νοέμβρη και 6^ης Δεκέμβρη, ήτανε δύο σημαντικές στιγμές της αυξανόμενης κρατικής καταστολής. Στη Θεσσαλονίκη, όταν εκατοντάδες διαδηλωτές έσπασαν την απαγόρευση της πορείας του Πολυτεχνείου, τηρώντας άριστα τα υγειονομικά μέτρα, η αστυνομία περικύκλωσε τη διαδήλωση, επέβαλλε συνθήκες συνωστισμού και προκάλεσε τραυματισμούς. Συνελήφθηκαν 6 αγωνιστές, ένας μάλιστα με την πρώτη εφαρμογή της νομοθεσίας περί «οργανωτή». Δεκάδες πρόστιμα επιβλήθηκαν.

Όλες λαϊκές κινητοποιήσεις έχουν μπει στο στόχαστρο. Οι κινητοποιήσεις των εργαζομένων στα νοσοκομεία, οι μαθητικές καταλήψεις για τα μέτρα προστασίας, η αντιφασιστική συγκέντρωση στο Εφετείο, οι πρόσφατες πανεκπαιδευτικές κινητοποιήσεις για το δικαίωμα στις σπουδές, χτυπήθηκαν βάναυσα.

Η κυβέρνηση ψήφισε το καλοκαίρι, και εφαρμόζει στην πράξη, τον χουντικής έμπνευσης νόμο απαγόρευσης των συγκεντρώσεων/διαδηλώσεων. Καθημερινά, με πρόσχημα την πανδημία και τη δήθεν υγειονομική προστασία, καταγράφονται περιστατικά αστυνομικής βαρβαρότητας και διώξεων για πολιτική δράση. Συνολικά τα δημοκρατικά δικαιώματα μας απειλούνται.

Η αλληλεγγύη στους διωκόμενους αγωνιστές της πορείας του Πολυτεχνείου, και η πάλη για τη διαγραφή όλων των προστίμων, είναι πάλη συνολική για δημοκρατικά δικαιώματα και ελευθερίες. Για να μπορεί ο λαός μας να οργανώνεται και να αγωνίζεται για ΨΩΜΙ-ΠΑΙΔΕΙΑ-ΥΓΕΙΑ-ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ.

Η Πρωτοβουλία Αλληλεγγύης Διαδηλωτών και Διαδηλωτριών της Πορείας του Πολυτεχνείου, σε συντονισμό με αντίστοιχες πρωτοβουλίες σε άλλες πόλεις της Ελλάδας, καλεί σε μαζική πολιτική και οικονομική στήριξη της καμπάνιας αλληλεγγύης, και σε συμμετοχή στις κινητοποιήσεις της 6^ης Φλεβάρη 2020.

CALL FOR SUPPORT OF ΤHE SOCIAL MOVEMENT IN GREECE

In Greece - just like in your country – the people are put to the test due to the Covid-19 pandemic which in the same time reveals the inadequacies and pathogens of the European establishment. The public health care system, which is degraded and hit by the EU neoliberal model, is still underfunded just as every other public infrastructure. The only tools employed by the state in order to confront the pandemic are curfews and the restriction of liberty. Using the pandemic as a pretense the Greek Government targets labor and social rights, while also threatening anyone who resists, breaching fundamental democratic rights and restricting constitutional liberties.

Having imposed one of the higher fines in Europe (300€ and discussing its raise to 500€), the Government tries to silence any opposition. In a country, where there is a 546€ minimum wage and a 20% rate of unemployment, terrorizing those who fight for social justice also takes the form of economic breakdown. For the poor and the working people, the fine costs as much as a month’s salary.

Even further, public demonstrations are banned. Consecutive bans issued by the Chief of Greek Police - taking advantage of the recent bill that proscribes public demonstrations - unions and movements are prohibited from expressing their opposition. Demonstrators do not only face slander by the Mass Media. They are also subjected to brutal police violence and repression, while having to deal with extortionate fines.

In particular, a few days prior to 17/11/2020 the Greek Police banned all public assemblies of more than three persons and Riot Police swarmed every Greek city. In fact, on that very day we commemorate through our struggle the Athens Polytechnic Uprising (1973), a massive student and popular uprising in 1973, which ultimately led to the downfall of the 7-year military Junta in 1974. In spite of the ban, the people took to the streets of all major Greek cities (including Thessaloniki) and rallied against the Government demanding better working conditions, healthcare, education and liberties. The rally began with everyone keeping as safe distance between themselves and others, while also wearing masks. The Riot Police, however, rounded up the demonstrators and forced them to crowd in. This unprecedented police operation in Thessaloniki lasted for two hours, while 94 fines were issued. Additionally, 28 demonstrators were brought in for inspection of their criminal record, and 6 of them were arrested. One demonstrator was falsely and arbitrarily arrested as the rally’s “coordinator”, who was also charged for inciting people to public disobedience and received a 3.000€ fine. These charges were dictated by the new bill banning public demonstrations that was enforced the first time.

The state continues to issue bans and fines to those who dare to express opposition to the Government and new bills - in spite of the people keeping Covid-19 protocols. No matter the hardships, the social movement in Greece will hang in. Those who destroyed the Welfare State and the public healthcare system in Greece are hypocrites and hold sole responsibility for the people’s plight. We hold fast to protecting the people’s health and well-being through our struggle towards social justice.

We formed this initiative as a means to resist against the Government’s effort to restrict the freedom of assembly, the cornerstone of democracy. This initiative offers political, legal and economic support to the demonstrators and calls every union, group, movement, and individual with social and democratic awareness in Europe to profess their solidarity. We deny to pay these unlawful fines and collect money to cover the costs of taking our case to court. We cannot let the Government to prohibit the right to assembly and we must support every demonstrator who dares to express opposition. We will overcome fear as solidarity paves the way.

SOLIDARITY UNITES US

APPEL AU SOUTIEN AUX COMBATTANTS EN GRÈCE

À chaque pays, comme aussi en Grèce, la pandémie établit l’essai des résistances de la société, en relèvent, à la fois, l’insuffisance et les pathogénies de l’Europe. Le système public de santé, étant construit sur le modèle néolibéral de l’UΕ, est complètement dévalorisé et en fonction sous une immense manque de financement par l’ état, comme toutes lesinfrastructures publiques, aussi. Le seul outil du gouvernement, pour le bouclage de la pandémie c’est d’ imposer du couvre-feu et de la restriction à la liberté. Sous prétexte de la pandémie, le gouvernement grec attaque les droits d'emploi et les droits communs, il menace ceux qui réagissent, en foulant les droits démocratiques et les conventions constitutionnelles.

Le gouvernement avait imposé une de plus élevées amendes dans l’Europe (300€ et examine le cas de le monter aux 500€), il essaye d’imposer aussi la loi de Silence. Dans un pays où le salaire minimum est 546€ et le chômage près du 20% , le terrorisme et le harcèlement à tous qui luttent pour la justice sociale, prend certainement aussi la forme de l'effondrement économique chez eux, étant donné que, l’ amende coute autant que le salaire des travailleurs de ce pays.

En plus, après des décisions constantes du chef de police et en exploitant la loi récente qui prévoit l’ interdiction des protestations, il est donc interdit pour les mouvements sociaux et les organisations collectives d’ exprimer leur opposition (car l’interdiction des rassemblements). Les participants aux protestations font face, pas seulement à la diffamation malveillante par les médias de masse et la répression et les violences extrêmes par la police mais aussi, aux amendes exorbitantes que leur impose.

Plus précisément, le 17ème novembre c’est un jour symbolique et pas vraiment une fête nationale, où en Grèce on honore le soulèvement des étudiants en 1973 qui a amené à la Chute de la Dictature. Cette année, de la vieille du 17 novembre, il a été décidé par le chef de police d’ interdire les rassemblements de plus de 3 personnes et par conséquence, toutes les villes du pays ont remplies par des forces répressives. Pourtant, les gens de mouvement, qui voulaient honorer en pratique la lutte des étudiants pour la Démocratie, il y a 50 ans, ont organisé des marches, en respectant, bien évidement les mesures (porter un masque et garder des distances) dans toutes les grandes villes ainsi qu'à Thessalonique. La réponse de la police était la violence et la répression. Seulement à Thessalonique, il y a eu 6 arrestations, tandis qu'une amende de 300 € a été imposé à 94 manifestants et l'un d'entre eux a également été accusé arbitrairement, d'être "l'organisateur de la marche" et il a été impose une amende de 3.000€. Plusieurs d’ eux sont au chômage, étudiants ou travailleurs faiblement rémunérés.

L’état n’arrête pas d’infliger des interdictions et des amendes non viables, malgré le respect de la législation sanitaire, à ceux qui osent de descendre dans les rues et d’ être opposés au gouvernement grec et ses lois. Malgré des circonstances défavorables, les gens du mouvement du pays, n’ont pas et ne seront pas découragé par les menaces et les amendes. Les suggestions hypocrites de tous ceux qui ont détruit l'État providence et les Structures de Santé du pays et qui sont vraiment responsables des souffrances de notre peuple, ne peuvent pas nous tromper. Notre attachement en faveur de la Santé et de la Vie du peuple est prouvé chaque jour par nos luttes pour une société plus juste.

Dans ce cadre de la confrontation avec l'élément le plus important de la démocratie, la Liberté de réunion, notre initiative, qui a été mise en place pour le soutien politique, juridique et financier des manifestants, adresse un appel aux organisations du mouvement et à chaque citoyen démocrate d’ Europe pour leur solidarité pratique. Nous refusons de payer les amendes illégales. En outre, nous collectons un montant pour les frais de justice et notre objectif est l’annulation d’ eux-mêmes.

On ne permit pas l'interdiction des manifestations en Grèce et on lutte pour pouvoir soutenir financièrement chaque combattant qui descendra dans la rue. C’est indiscutable que la peur ne passe pas, que la solidarité gagne.

LA SOLIDARITÉ EST L'ARME DU PEUPLE

Apello Internazionale di Solidarietà con i compagni in Grecia

In Grecia, come in Italia, la pandemia mette alla prova le tolleranze della società, rivelando allo stesso tempo le carenze e i disastri sociali creati della costruzione europea. Ilsistema sanitario pubblico, degradato e colpito dalle politiche antipopolari dell’ Unione Europea, continuaad essere sottofinanziato, come tutte le infrastrutture pubbliche. Gli unici strumenti dello stato per affrontare la pandemia, che diventa sempre piu forte, sono il coprifuoco e i restrizioni delle libertà. Con il pretesto della pandemia, il governo greco attacca i diritti dei lavoratori e i diritti sociali, minacciando inoltre chiunque reagisca, violando i diritti democratici e le libertà costituzionali.

Il governo ha impostato una delle multe più alte in Europa (300€ ed è in corso l’aumento a 500€), cercando di imporre la legge del silenzio. In un Paese dove il salario minimo ammonta a 546€ e la disoccupazione ha raggiunto il livello di circa il 20%, le pratiche terroristiche e le intimidazioni contro tutti coloro che lottano per giustizia sociale prendono la forma, tra l’altro, dello sterminio economico, poiché la multa costa tanto quanto un salario mensile per I poveri e i lavoratori del Paese.

Inoltre, le decisioni che si sono susseguite, da parte del capo della polizia greca, approfittando della recente legge sulle manifestazioni, vietano alle collettività e ai movimenti di esprimere la loro opposizione, poiché le manifestazioni sono vietate, mentre i partecipanti, oltre alla denigrazione attraverso i media e all'estrema repressione e violenza, si devono anche confrontare con le esorbitanti ammende loro imposte.

Infatti, alla vigilia del 17 Novembre, giorno in cui si ricorda in Grecia la rivolta degli studenti del 1973, che ha dato luogo alla caduta della dittatura, il governo greco, con decisione del capo della polizia, ha proibito le concentrazioni e le adunanze tra più di tre persone. Di conseguenza, le città del nostro Paese si sono gremite di forze di polizia antisommossa.

Tuttavia, i movimenti, onorando concretamente le lotte degli studenti di 50 anni fa, hanno manifestato nelle grandi città del Paese al motto di “Pane – Salute – Istruzione – Libertà”. A Salonicco, la manifestazione è iniziata tenendo le distanze previste e tutte le misure di protezione sanitaria, ma, dopo pochi minuti, le forze di polizia antisommossa hanno formato un cerchio compatto intorno ai manifestanti,spingendo la folla radunata ad ammassarsi, senza via d’uscita, in una operazione terroristica senza precedenti che è durata due ore. Sono state inflitte 94 ammende di 300€, denunciati 28 manifestanti earrestati 6. Addirittura, per la prima volta, è stato applicato il provvedimento della nuova legge per l’abolizione delle manifestazioni, che definisce arbitrariamente un manifestante specific “organizzatore di manifestazione”, a cui è stata inflitta una multa di 3.000€ e sta affrontando un processo con l’accusa di "incitamento alla disobbedienza".

Lo Stato continua, in ogni occasione, a imporre divieti e multe insopportabili, nonostante il rispetto dei protocolli sanitari, a chi osa sfidare il governo greco e le leggi che mette in atto. Nonostante le avversità, il popolo dei movimenti nel Paese non si è fatto e non si fa intimidire da minacce e multe. I suggerimenti ipocriti di tutti coloro che hanno distrutto lo Stato Sociale e le Strutture Sanitarie del Paese, e che sono i veri responsabili delle sofferenze del nostro popolo, non possono ingannarci. Il nostro impegno per la salute e la vita del Popolo è dimostrato quotidianamente dalle nostre lotte per una società giusta.

Nell’ ambito della contestazione del principio più fondamentale della democrazia, il diritto alla libertà d'associazione, è stata costituita la nostra iniziativa per il sostegno politico, legale ed economico dei manifestanti. Esortiamo tutti gli organismi e le organizzazioni del moviment e ogni cittadino democratico d'Europa a sostenere la nostra iniziativa con la loro solidarietà concreta. Ci rifiutiamo di pagare le multe illegali e riscuotiamo l'importo di denaro richiesto per le spese processuali per la loro cancellazione.

Per non far passare il divieto di manifestazioni in Grecia e per poter fornire una copertura economica a ogni combattente che scenderà in piazza. La solidarietà vincerà. La paura non avrà la meglio: la Solidarietà la sconfiggerà.
