Study Abroad

I am a junior at George Mason University finishing my degree in Government and International Politics. As a government major I have been given the opportunity to study abroad for a two-week program and I will earn three credits toward my degree. I will be able to travel to east central Europe to discover the history, and nationalism of three great cities, Prague, Budapest, and Vienna. This experience in international relations will broaden my understanding of foreign governments, which will support and enrich my ability to work in furtherance of a better future by giving me a hand on approach with real life vision. The program is designed as a study tour so that I will be able to learn about history while seeing where these events actually took place. This is a great way to open up my perspective on events in a way that simply reading a textbook cannot offer. Wouldn’t you rather scan the exciting history and culture of ancient cities rather than skimming the pages of a book? I hope to take away a better understanding of foreign cultural influence on government so that I can facilitate a better fusion of American politics and modern culture in today’s government.

To participate in the program I must be able to cover the cost of tuition, airfare, as well as some transportation and meals while in Europe. In order to make this possible I need to raise 5,500 dollars to cover these costs. I am looking for scholarships from businesses as a way to raise this money.
