Hi ..... and welcome to my Power Chair fund page.
Due to my PPMS, my condition is slowly degrading, meaning my walking capability is slowly becoming less, and my wheelchair dependence more, since I was diagnosed in 2012. I have to use sticks to get about the house, and on some occasions I end up sleeping downstairs in my recliner; (we are currently on the council waiting list for an 'accessable' bungalow but meanwhile have to manage the best we can).
I am getting increasingly more housbound as my wife struggles to push me in my manual wheelchair, so I tend to stay in either the house or if we venture out, the car, and even that is under threat of having to go as the government brandish their totally inappropriate assessments and welfare cuts! I am watching my capabilities, bodily functions and mind slowly being taken from me .....and there's nothing I can do about it! I am just watching, waiting and adapting my life to whatever the next twist may bring!
To this end I am trying to raise enough to buy an electric Power Wheelchair which will allow me to get out the house into the fresh air, go round the shops with my wife, take our little dog out ........... give me my independence and 'freedom' back!!
It would really, REALLY be an absolute life line to me! So I am hoping there is enough human kindness out there to go round and 'hopefully' be a little left for me!
It would make me so happy if I could reach my target; I need all the help I can get, so please donate if you wish to help.
Thank you everyone.
Stuart
