Campaign Story
I have a silo that is to be demolished. It is a very unique silo - it is built of clear heart Redwood from trees harvested 100 years ago. There are very few silos of this type of construction in existence today in MN. Built by the Independent Silo Company of St. Paul, MN, it is a grand piece of agricultural/farm history.
This funding effort proposes to save it from the landfill by moving it to a permanent home at the local threshing show grounds so that many can enjoy this historical structure for years to come. All funds raised by this fundraiser will be going to the Almelund Threshing Show in Chisago County, MN. They are a 501c3 organization and will use the funds to cover the cost of relocation/revitalization of this beautiful structure. Thank you for helping us to honor the memory and remember the history of the American farm.
