About Us

Women Entrepreneurs of America, Inc. (WEA, Inc.) is a national non-profit organization established in 2002 to help women in business at every level. Founded in Cleveland, OH, the non-profit has 9 chapters throughout the country that provides technical assistance, mentoring and business training to disadvantaged business owners.

The Situation

Detroit, MI is home to the first chapter of WEA, Inc. and will celebrate its 7 year anniversary in 2013. Currently, our city is plagued by high unemployment and crime. However, the Detroit Chapter of WEA, Inc. is taking matters into its own hands by working to set an atmosphere of success for men and women entrepreneurs in our City.

Why We Need Funding

Proceeds from our campaign will be used to re-launch the chapter under new leadership and provide vital training, technical assistance and business conferences for men and women entrepreneurs at every level of business.

The Solution

WEA, Inc. of Detroit is working to provide business training and conferences, mentorship opportunities and technical assistance to men and women owned businesses in Detroit. We are planning the "Getting Back to Business" conference in March, 2013 to facilitate an atmosphere of success.

Rewards

Donors will receive rewards that range from a personalized video thank you posted on our facebook page to 2 admission tickets with VIP luncheon seating at the "Getting Back to Business" Conference. Donation levels range from $5 to $200.
