Volunteer Project in Tanzania Orphanage

Hey Guys .. Thanks for visiting my page!   So.... GUESS WHAT! On the 16th of August I fly off to Tanzania (Africa) to work in a children's Orphanage/school. I had to go through a lengthy application process to reach this stage but I am SO pleased to say that I was accepted for the volunteer programme and its not long to go til the departure date!  As you know this is a big step for me and I am sure life in Tanzania will be very different to what I am currently used to. Its going to be a great experience and I want to make a real difference in the lives of the children and help in anyway I can.    That is where you come in... I cannot do any of this without the support of all my friends and family.  Therefore I am facing a big fear of mine by doing a sponsored SKYDIVE!! (I'm scared!) to help raise the funds needed. For those of you who know me, this skydive will really take me out of my comfort zone but I think its the only fair thing to do if you are willing to part with your money to help support me in this worthy cause!!!   I've been able to pay for my return flights,  but need help in supporting my stay there for a period of 3 months. The orphanage is very overcrowded with some of the countries most disadvantaged children,  however they have very little staff to support the children and their needs. They are desperate for help and the staff really benefit from volunteers such as myself.  I would like to be able to encourage and help build the lives of these children who have so little and help make them feel loved and cared for.
