You are invited to join EZRA USA, COJECO, RAJE, and RJeneration, for the 6th Annual Veteran Appreciation Project to Honor Russian-speaking Jewish Veterans of World War II!
In commemoration of those who bravely fought during World War II, the Russian-speaking Jewish community will honor WWII veterans for the sacrifices and contributions they made in fighting against the Nazi regime. With less and less Russian-speaking Jewish veterans of World War II remaining, it is essential that we honor them now and keep the memory of their experiences alive.
*ON SUNDAY, MAY 11, 2014 VOLUNTEERS WILL VISIT 150 RUSSIAN-SPEAKING JEWISH VETERANS* living in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens to personally thank them for their noble service during WWII.
Each veteran will receive a *GIFT BASKET* that includes wine, delicious treats, and a certificate acknowledging their courage and sacrifice. As many of the veterans are homebound, widowed, and lonely, the time you spend with them will be the greatest gift of all.
SPONSOR A VETERAN!
We need community support to help cover the cost of the 150 gift baskets that will be delivered to veterans. $25 TO SPONSOR A VETERAN! There is no limit on how many veterans to sponsor.
Launched by Ezra USA in 2009, The Veteran Appreciation Project is an opportunity to honor WWII veterans and to hear their stories, enabling them to live on through the next generation. Thank you for your support and participation!!!

I wish I could volunteer, but since I will be out of town, I am sending a contribution to this great initiative.
