Soy for Shisong…Building a Healthier Community

GREEN CARE (GC), Cameroon is an Award-Winning NGO (Non-Profit) based in Shisong – Kumbo. It is involved in environmental education, poverty alleviation and sustainable use of local resources. Our mission is to empower local communities with techniques of sustainable use of local resources and building networking opportunities across the world, with an overriding commitment to education, poverty alleviation and community development.

In line with our mission we as Green Care would like to educate our community on the health benefits of soy, which is a local product here. We would also like to train them on how to transform soy into useful products, and then sell such products as income generating activities. Every member of our organization is skilled in making soybean meat or tofu, soymilk and other products such as cakes from soy. We want to share these skills with our community through workshops, where we will not only transfer our skills but also empower our people to put these skills to use in generating income for their families and fellow community members.

With your support we can improve not only the health of our community but also help them to lessen their burdens of poverty. Your donation will allow us to facilitate these soy transformation workshops, cover start up materials for participants, and provide business classes for them.
