I started out taking in animal rescues 12 years ago so that they could have "forever" homes. No animal should be without a "forever" home. In the years, I have taken in dogs, cats, birds, geese, ducks, a tortoise, and also exotic animals including, bobcats, kinkajous, savannahs, hybrids, servals, caracals and muntjac deer. I also have some that were originally my pets. In total, I have over 50 animals here living out their lives. Promising each one they would never be re-homed. In doing so expenses started to rise for their care. The exotics being the most expensive to care for. I have built enclosures and also re-arranged my home in areas to be able to keep them happy and healthy.

When the recession hit it made things quite difficult to keep up with but regardless, the animals were taken care of no matter what I personally had to do without. Putting them first and foremost unfortunately made me unable to make mortgage payments for quite sometime. I tried relentlessly to work something out with the mortgage company to pay my deficit but was unable to as they were not willing to make any effort in working with me. With that being said, they are now foreclosing on me. I have limited time to come up with the deficit amount or give up my home which, of course, would also include having to re-home the animals that were supposed to live out the rest of their lives here.

Most rescues have gone through SO much already before they can find a home and finally be comfortable, healthy, and happy. I just can't imagine having to put these beautiful creatures through this again. I am financially able to care of them and able to make mortgage payments at this time but not able to pay the deficit in order to keep the home. I have tried everything. I have even offered payments to them to pay off the deficit and have been turned down. All or nothing is all they want.

Please consider donating so that they can stay in the home they were promised and won't have to go through the sad and scary re-location issue again.
