Hi all!

I'll be taking on one of my greatest fears - heights! And I'll be doing that to help raise money for cancer research.

Ever since my dad became a victim of cancer, support research into the field has always been something that is very close to my heart.

Cancer takes too many lives and anything you can donate will help fund ways to cure this dreaded disease.

Here are some facts about cancer:

• There are more than 100 types of cancers; any part of the body can be affected.
• More than 30% of cancers could be cured if detected early and treated adequately.
• Worldwide, the 5 most common types of cancer that kill men are (in order of frequency): lung, stomach, liver, colorectal and oesophagus.
• Worldwide, the 5 most common types of cancer that kill women are (in the order of frequency): breast, lung, stomach, colorectal and cervical.
