Nova’s Ears

Meet Nova.  Her life began in the hands of a junkie which treated her very badly. He abused her and owned a pitbull that he let constantly fight Nova. The junkie and his girlfriend broke up and the girl took Nova with her. Through common friends I met Nova. Biggest heart and kindness I've ever seen in a dog, so I decided to take her with me, since the girl that owned her didn't have time enough for her. This was October 2014. Previous owner said that her ears hurt so we had to be careful with it. When I got home i suspected that she had otitis, which she had. Since Nova needed to be healthy to get insurance, a friend had ear drops and medicine for otitis that we could have. Nova got fine for a while, then she got bad again and I suspect the small amount of ear drops and medicine I got from my friend wasn't enough. My mom had the same medicine which I could borrow, but that wasn't enough either. Her ear is nasty, I try to clean it, but it doesn't help much without the medicine.. She's shaking her head and scratching her ear. It hurts to see her like this.

I've talked to the vet about prices, and it was a bit higher than I expected. The vet said that they need to take samples to make sure fungus or bacterias doesn't grow. 

It really has come to that time when I have to ask for charity. I don't get any spare money after paying what's necessary to survive. I'm afraid that this otitis will turn out to something worse. Her 2nd birthday is this August and I would love to see her healthy and happy as she has been when otitis isn't around. Nova has come to that point that she scratches and shakes her head so much that she whines and the ear starts to bleed. It's breaking my heart to hear her and know I can't do anything about it. All charity will go straight to medical and vet bills, and any amount is welcome as it's a push forward to a healthy family member.
