Likeleli Masitise is Africa's first black woman rider to ride for a registered UCI Cycling Team. The team is based in her home country of Lesotho, Africa and has enabled her to ride in some big mountain bike races in Africa. Unfortunately, Likeleli's bike was stolen and she/ her team do not have the resources to get her a proper racing mountain bike at the moment. This has hampered her training, but she has continued to shine in races - winning the recent national championships on a loaned bike.
21 year-old Likeleli is an orphan who grew up in the small rural town of Mohale's Hoek, where she is fast-becoming a superstar and role model. She rides for the ACE-The Sufferest-Lesotho team, which is the world’s first all-black UCI MTB team. Most of the riders have overcome poverty and challenges to become true role models for the Africa and you can read their inspiring story here: https://www.storehouse.co/stories/t8hlv-riding-for-lesotho
Giant Bicycles, South Africa, has offered Likeleli a new LIV Lust Advanced bike at a great price, which will save the cost of transport/ import duties and other taxes.
