My Bike was stolen. Please help me replace it.

My bike was stolen.....

My road bike was stolen recently and I am not getting enough from my insurance company to replace it. Several of my friends expressed interest in helping me raise money to buy a new one so I am setting up this site. You might be wondering why this is a worthy cause. This bike was more than just transportation or a hobby for me. I did ride it to work sometimes and I really enjoyed taking it for rides around town. But, I used this bike mostly to raise money for charity. I have done 2 fundraising bike rides for the American Lung Association so far and intend on doing many more. I did "Reach the Beach" (100 miles from Portland to Pacific City) last May and Raised almost $150. Then in September I rode in "Ride Around the Sound" (75 miles in the Seattle/Tacoma area) and raised almost as much. Reach the Beach is coming up in May again and I was going be registering soon. I love taking part in these rides and raising money for a foundation that I feel like is doing great work. If I happen to raise more money through this site then I need to buy a new bike I will donate the rest to the American Lung Association. 

Thank you for your consideration. If you happen to be able to help me out I REALLY appreciate you. I feel sickened that someone felt the need to take my bike from me. It took me a long time to find a bike that was as perfect for me as this one was. I hope to be able to replace it so I can continue to raise money for charity.
