Melbourne Spoken Word

Melbourne Spoken Word is a website created by poets involved in the Melbourne spoken word 'scene' and for and about the scene, the poets, the events and the poetry. Started at the beginning of 2012, we aim to promote and list all of the poetry events going on in Melbourne, to promote the poets and the ongoing organisations and gigs, as well as be a forum for debate and discussion about the state of spoken word in Melbourne.

We are hoping to collect funds to help spread the word of the site and in turn spread the word of all the poetry events and poets in Melbourne. Money will go toward promotional material like postcards, stickers, t-shirts to direct people to the site, as well as perhaps specific gigs and events in the future, plus some online promotion and perhaps more!
