Jordan’s Trip to Los Angeles

Hi everyone!

RECENT UPDATE!

I am on the road currently, heading to LA! I should be there by the 20th. If you are confused as to why I am making the journey, look below to read my "story"!

So - after a long time of dreaming, waiting and saving, I am finally ready to make the move to L.A at the beginning of 2014! The reason being - as you are all aware - I am moving to LA to pursue my dream of performing in the movies professionally. I have done much to prepare for this, including building my film portfolio here in the southeast with the help of agents, and also auditioning in order to gain more confidence, and improving my "cold-reading" abilities. The southeast has been good to me for the time I spent working here, but I am at the point where I want more of it, and bigger.

The thought of leaving the cozy-confines of the Triad are frightening(almost numbing)...but I have brushed all my fears and worries aside to realize this is something that I am determined to do. I have dedicated almost 10 years of my life training for this moment. The best comfort I have is that I have such a loving community of friends, teachers, and family who supported me throughout my education and performances.

Being aware of all the "financial dangers" in moving to a new place, I need all the help I can get. I am driving to LA (so I can have my car), and staying with friends until I get settled with a job and a room. I've already saved enough to support myself for about 3 months, but any incidentals might be trouble for me. That's where I could use some help from you all!
