Jen’s Going to Nicaragua

Hello friends and family! As many of you know in February I will be travelling with a group of about 14 others to Nicaragua for 3 weeks to teach English to both students and their teachers and, because it is through Me to We we will  help build schools in the local community. This experience is through Nipissing University and through the Me to We program. This is not something that I thought I'd be doing this year but it was a spur of the moment decision and I'm really glad I have made it.   This trip is costly so anything that is donated is greatly appreciated. There are a few ways that you can donate, you can donate here at the website, you can donate through your empties (alcholoic bottles) (I will pick them up from you to take them off your hands or you are more than welcome to drop them off to me!), you can donate through the upcoming events that the Muskoka students are putting on. Finally, if all you can donate is your wishes and prayers for me I will gladly accept those!    The local community in Nicaragua is one of the poorest in all of Central and South America, while I'm teaching abroad their resources are scarce and anything we need for lessons we will have to bring in ourselves. Once we are done with our resources we are allowed to leave them behind with the folks at Me to We to distribute as they sees fit. So if there is anything that you would like to send over, school supplies, clothing, shoes, sports equipment I will gladly take those and donate them to the local community over there.
