Jamaica Mission Trip 2014

Hello Friends and Family!

I want to share with you an exciting opportunity that I have been given to go on a mission trip to Jamaica June 28- July 5 with my youth group from LowCountry Community Church. When you think of Jamaica, you may think of luxury resorts and soaking up the sun while sipping on a cool drink... However, our experience will be quite different as we will be working with people who live in abject poverty. While in Jamaica, we will be serving doing work projects, working with children and teens, hosting sports camps and Bible clubs, and ministering in churches and communities nearby. Our goal is to serve the people of Jamaica, to build relationships with the students, and to share the love of Christ in a real and tangible way.

I am asking first and foremost for your prayers for our team and me- that we would be unified in spirit and humble in service. Also, please pray for the people in Jamaica and that we would present a clear testimony of Jesus through our words and actions. The cost of the trip is $1,425 per person and is due by the middle of June. I will be participating in group fundraisers with my group and saving every cent I earn between now and the end of June when we leave. But I am also asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this endeavor. If everyone who reads this gives even just a small amount, it will help tremendously. And you can be a partner in missions overseas even if you can't go yourself. So please consider being a part of this great opportunity through prayer and/or financial giving. All financial donations are 100% tax-deductible and all the money you give goes directly to the church towards my mission trip.
