Please take a little time to read Sky's story about here mum. Lom a loving wife and a loving mother, a wonderful and beautiful friend to many. She was lying on the hospital bed thinking of her family and the people that meant a lot to her until she looked at my dad and smiled and took her last breath she had been suffering with cancer for 3 years. My dad worked away from home to make ends meet but came home on the odd weekend but lodging away was expensive and money was always tight. My Mum suffered from cancer in 2007 but beat it but this time, it was different. 3 years ago my mum had a slight cough which never went away. Dad always nagged he to go to the docters. But she never did a year later it got worse so had no choice but to go. She was sent for a scan in November 2013 where the extent of the cancer was clear to see. It was all over her lungs My mum never smoked never drank. Her chemotherapy soon started.this went on for a wile and mum was very sick most days. February 2014 Her radio treatment started But mum never monad just got on being a mum. Dad was coming home evry weekend. staying longer and longer he wanted to be home but could not find a job near home.By july All her treatments had finished the cancer had not gone just shrunk in size. Mum was having trouble eating and drinking which got worse as the weeks went by. In December she had to have a operation to open a way for her to eat and drink but this was not successful. Lom started to become very ill and weakened by the week. In February, Lom went for a scan we were told that the cancer had become aggressive. Lom was a person who would always put us and others first. If anybody needed help they would call Lom, if anybody wanted a shoulder to cry on Lom would be that shoulder. At home Lom was the boss shouting at me and dad. Having a moan at us at times, but she loved us both and we loved her, when she became so ill. My dad left his job full time to look after her but soon had to go back to hospital. My dad would spend all day with her every day for 2 weeks until the end where she whispered to my dad with a smile, "don't worry." he looked at her and knew that she knew it was the end. Loms wish was to go back to Thailand to be with her family. Lom would and has always looked after her family and in her death I hope, with help, her wish will come true and her family may have a little help and we can give her the funeral the she truly deserves. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
