We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of our brother and friend. Keith went missing on January 27th in Remerton Georgia. On February 7th Keith was found deceased in a rural location in Lanier County Georgia, by hunters. The Lanier County Sheriff's Office is investigating Keith’s death as a Homicide.
Keith's life has touched so many; he was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and an amazing friend. He served in our military; and we are all left with heartbreak and a sadness that is almost palpable. Many of us have been asking the question, “How can I help?”... Now is the time to put your thoughts and words into action.
Keith's family is still coping with the shock and confusion of the news. In an effort to alleviate some of the great strain his family is facing; a fundraiser has been set up to bring Keith home from Georgia to New York for burial. The family asks that in lieu of flowers and in Keith's honor, for donations to be made which will be used for his funeral expenses and to give Keith a proper memorial service. Any donation, large or small, would be such a welcome blessing to Keith's family in their time of need. Please consider donating whatever you can. Your gift will be greatly cherished and appreciated.
Please be assured that all funds raised here will be collected directly by Keith's sister, Veronica Abdul-Kareem and his brother, Ben Ervin. Any unused burial funds will be used to create a trust/college fund for Keith's grandson, DeMarri Zyier Washington.
