The Hero Rescue Fund, a non-profit, is developing its first project and site, located in Lucerne Valley, California.  The project will provide shelter, sanctuary, and agricultural training for combat veterans. The training and education provided by our program and project will provide our vets new purpose and focus, and a high-demand, employable skill in the agri-business marketplace.  There is little doubt, we need more farmers who create local, healthier food production on small and medium size farms.  Studies show that over 30% of our veterans are jobless and/or homeless, that is tragic.  It is a huge win/win, both for our veterans and the local communities where new farms are created as a direct result.

If that's not enough, we will also be creating a farm where there wasn't one before... on barren, desert property! Using new systems and methods that allow us to grow anything, anywhere, at any time of the year. Growing healthy, pesticide and toxin free, natural/organic crops while using less than half the water and energy normally required to do so.  What we grow will be distributed locally, providing healthier food at lower prices. If we are able to do this on a desert location, it can be done most anywhere, for any and all communities and veterans across the country.

Our project provides care and opportunity for veterans returning from combat and service to our country, improves our environment, conserves water and energy, and produces healthier, more affordable food for our community. That's a strong combination for your consideration,  don't you think so?

Thank you for taking the time to find out what our project and effort is all about, please help us to make this very worthwhile effort happen and pass it on to your family, friends, associates, and contacts.  Your donation is tax deductible.  Thanks again, the Hero Rescue Fund Team
