Help Pay for a Caregiver

Hi. Over the past several months my dad, Josef, has been experiencing excrutiating pain in his abdomin area which led to an extreme loss of weight. After 3 months of tests and biopsies, the doctors concluded that there is a mass in his pancreas. The doctors believe that he has pancreatic cancer. He went through 2 weeks of chemotherapy only to discover that his body cannot handle the chemo - he is too weak, his body is not strong enough, and his immunity is way too low. He was hospitalized for 1 week and then taken to a hospice location for 2 and a half more weeks. While at hospice, the decision was made to stop all chemotherapy and focus on pain management so that he can be comfortable, eat again, and not be in such debilitating pain.   He is being discharged from hospice today and we need help providing him with a caregiver. He is on numerous medications that must be administered at exact times. And because he is on so many medications, he cannot be responsible for taking them on his own. There is also the high concern of him being at risk for falling. His wife must continue to work and cannot be available to stay with him 24/7.    The cost of bringing in a caregiver for a several hours a day is roughly $2000 per month. That is not in our price range and we need YOUR help in helping my dad stay safe, comfortable, and pain free.
