MY MISSION

Hi, I am Katherine Phipps (Kate).  For over eight years I have been working towards my goal of becoming a registered psychotherapist and I have accomplished that goal.  Now I am working towards getting certified as a hypnotherapist and expanding my business – Guiding Heart Healing, LLC -- and getting set up in a full-time capacity.  I have the opportunity to go from working out of my house on a very limited, part-time basis to getting set up in an office to begin seeing clients 3 – 4 days a week or more.

In addition, I want to provide pro-bono work for women in need.  My dream is to provide free services to women who have or are undergoing stress due to divorce, separation, emotional and physical abuse and would otherwise not have access to free therapy.  I would also like to work with adolescents who are struggling with self-esteem issues due to bullying, performance anxiety, and self-image and so on.

I have learned the hard way how difficult it is to try to start a business while working a mostly full-time job.  Not only do I not have time to devote but I don’t make enough money with my other job to cover the expenses necessary to expand my business.  Starting a small business can cost upwards of $30,000 but since I have been in business and am looking to expand I need help raising money for the following expenses:
