About This Campaign

Dear All,

My name is Sean Millham and I love the game of soccer. I've been playing for 18 years and it's one of the few things that can make me forget about the world around me. I'm in love with the game, every last bit of it, even if it's just training for it, coaching, pick up in the park with friends, or FIFA/Pro Evo/Football Manager. Like everybody who loves the Beautiful Game, I too have had dreams about playing at the highest level. To get paid to train, play, and of course, entertain, doing something that brings me the most joy in the world would literally be the most amazing thing I could ever imagine. But opportunities to play at that high of a level haven't exactly been easy to come by. Needless to say, I never let this discourage me, as I have continued to pursue that elusive dream that many people have dreamed at one time or another.

During the Summer of 2013, I had decided to give myself a year to either earn a trial, or go pro. In December, I had had my big break. I attended a Pro Soccer Consulting/AX Soccer Tours Pro Soccer Combine in Jacksonville, Florida at beautiful Patton Park (which was once a training center for the US Women's National Team in 2013). During the combine itself, I improved over the course of the 3 days tremendously, and wrapped up with a hat trick on the final day. Needless to say, I was very excited about scoring period, let alone a hat trick. A week after the combine, I had recieved news that according to the agency and the USL Pro, PDL, and NPSL coaches in attendence, I was identified as a player that has the ability to play at the next level. Needless to say, I was excited as I had felt like all the training I had done had finally been noticed and I was anxiously awaiting news on what was next. on Christmas Eve, I had been notified that I had been selected to be on the European Showcase team that was going to Dublin, Ireland and Stockholm, Sweden. Teams selected by this group have played in Europe and Asia against top level opposition, such as AIK and Djurgardens of Sweden. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to achieve my dream of playing professional soccer.

Like with all things, money is a factor in making my dream happen. The tour itself is $3000, not including airfare. With airfare and other expenses, it would be at least $5000 for the two week trip. While I do work a part time job at a local business, it ultimately will not help me earn the money required in order for me to pay for the trip and help pursue my dream. And unfortunetly due to the current economy, my parents are unable to help me out.

Any amount will help, if it's even only a dollar. Any amount that is donated over the required amount will be donated to a local charity.
