Campaign Story
I won't go into too much detail as most of you will know the Donovan's long journey to ensure Dave is in the best health he can be after a cancer diagnosis many, many years ago. For a long, long time he has fought so hard to maintain optimum health, & of late has challenged a new form of treatment which has not gone without unpleasant side effects. Because of the change in Dave's health, the prospect of him travelling to see his much loved family (daughter, son in law and grandson) in Washington has felt unlikely due to the obscene costs of travel insurance. Dave as also always wanted to visit Washington, so what a double whammy it would be if he could go there to see his family AND enjoy the place for what it is also! The cheapest travel insurance quote is over £2000... so, what I'm asking is if anybody wants to help raise this so Dave, Kerry and Beth can visit their family! Anybody that knows the family know that they'd do anything for anybody, so I think it is time to return the favour! This site does take 4% of what's been raised...but is the best site for saving for a personal reason... so let's try and beat the total I have stated so we can cover that too!!!!

Hi everybody!� Thanks so much for your beautiful donations!! Unfortunately, Dave’s health has really took a battering & his family from Washington have had to come to the UK to see him (they’re currently in the air, one of them with a broken leg!) as he’s not well enough to travel! �Basically,the money then that’s raised is still there, does anyone have any objections to me giving it the family to have a break from the hospice to Center Parcs to create some lovely family memories??????� I’d hope noone �objected, but, please, if you do, message me & I will provide a refund. Dave states using the money from any other purpose is fraudulent, �but I don’t agree it is if I send such messages out and give people the choice,as of course you all need to be given a �choice.� Please let me know asap on your thoughts.
