The Empower Children Campaign is aiming to raise $5000 to deliver music, drama and sport education and development to children living with a disability in Uganda.
'All children are entitled to an education regardless of their race, religion, sex or disability. Children with SEN in Uganda face many difficulties in their everyday life due to the severity of their disability, society’s misunderstanding and a lack of funding for specialist equipment and schooling.'

How? Soft Power Education offers a range of education and capacity building in Uganda including a Special Needs Project for children living with a physical or mental disability. They offer a range of therapies including speech, movement and education.
Hey Dee Ho Music is an Australian based company that offers a number of different educational and development programs for young children. Elise has been a presenter with them for 2 years and is currently in Uganda with the hope of setting up a project to implement education and alternative care for young children.
Elise would like to run a 6 month program starting in July 2014 for Soft Powers Special Needs Project which works with up to 7 schools and clinics, she will also work with their 2 prechools. She will deliver music, drama and fitness activities to children age 3-16 who live with a disability and recieve assistance with Soft Power.
$5000 will enable us to purchase the required props (finger puppets, instruments, dress ups, bean bags, sporting equipment and so on) cover transport, communication and other expenses. Your support is greatly appreciated.
You can also support us by sharing this page with your friends and family via email and social media.
