Things are shaping up in the rehearsal rooms but we need your help to transform our plans into stageworthy drama action!

Any money raised over the next few months through various fundraising projects will be going towards Turn The Key Productions. In August we will be travelling up to Scotland to perform in the fabulous Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Our production is aimed at a family audience and I believe that access to drama at a young age has so many benefits. Our show will invite children to enter the exciting land we're going to create on stage and stretch their imaginations to explore all of their senses.

You may still be wondering why you should donate and help us on our way. I know the normal fundraising pages are for charities and you could say that you'd just be funding us to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But there is more to it than that. Drama, like all arts, is about giving back to the audience. Our company is not expecting to make a profit from the show but we need to fundraise as much as possible to help with the cost of venue hire, transport, set/props etc. Our play is going to hopefully stick in children's minds for the rest of their lives, just as the shows I saw at the Fringe festival many many years ago did. We want to make it colourful, dynamic, exploratory and exciting! The more help we get with funding the better it will be! AND WE NEED YOU!

If you want more information on the play itself then check out our facebook page or feel free to send us a message and we can fill you in! It's going to be EPIC.

We're now making one of our performance nights especially accessible for autistic children. We modify our set slightly, provide the families with pictures and plans of the theatre and allow easy come-and-go entrance in order to make members of the audience feel as comfortable as possible.

I heard a rumour that there were going to be rewards for anyone who donates ;) watch this space.

Update posted by IzzyMoore at 03:22 pm

We have had a few hiccups along the way and are now using an exercise bike from the very generous sportspark. We are really starting to feel the burn but are gonna power through.  Please keep us cheerful throughout the night by donating any money you can spare! x
