Disabled Iraq Veteran Family

Hello to All visitors to our story,

We are the Waskey family.Our Family purchased our first home last year using our VA home loan process.

We are a family of 6 inwhich,include 4 Daughters ages 14,12,10 and 2.We are on a set income with our money being VA due to a 100% service connected disabled and Social Security.Our family has come into some very hard times right now with many of lifes challenges being put in our families path in the last 6 months.My husband was struck by a roadside bomb in Falusia,Iraq while deployed.He sustained a traumatic brain injury,cervical spine damage,nerve damage and Post traumatic stress.Since his return home I have been his caregiver with the help of our daughters.Our family is struggling to provide the essentials right now.With a set income the option to get "overtime" is not an option at this time.Our family has helped to raise money in the past years for returning veterans and we are now looking to raise money for Our own family.Our family is in need of energy efficient renovations to our families home.This is essential as we are all electric with a heat source of 220 baseboard heaters and windows from 1973.We are having a hard time with a food budget every month due to the high costs.There is so much to learn about our strong family unit.If you get the time and opportunity to google the name "tom waskey" you will have a chance to learn more about our family.
