Daniel O’Connor Memorial Tribute Fund

This collection has been created in memory of Daniel O'Connor, following his sudden and unexpected passing on 15 December 2014.  Anyone who knew Dan will know that he loved his sport, especially football, and that he supported West Ham United....through the highs and the lows!

West Ham United are due to be moving to a new stadium in 2016, located at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. Leading up to the stadium will be a landscaped walkway of granite stones with personalised messages which will be known as 'Champions Place'.  

With that in mind, his friends and former Sunday League team mates from Bromfords Reunion FC have decided to contribute towards a 'Champions Place Large Stone with Crest' with a personal message in Dan's memory. The stone will be a lasting tribute to a man who we will hold dear in our hearts forever.

The overall cost and therefore the fundraising target for the stone is £500. Any over contribution will be paid to a charity, to be chosen by Dan's sister Alexandra. We are aiming to order the stone as soon as possible and will do so as soon as we reach the target. Please can you ensure all contributions have been made by 19th February, what would have been Dan's 30th Birthday. I will provide regular updates of progress via FaceBook, and also arrange for some pictures once the stones have been laid in 2016. Thanks in advance.
