Hi Friends and Family!
I have an awesome opportunity that I would love for you all to be a part of.
On the 13th of October I will be heading back to the Philippines. I will be heading to Tacloban, an hour plane ride south of the capital Manila. Almost a year ago the town was struck by a record breaking Typhoon. With wind speeds up to 315km/h and numerous tidal waves, Typhoon Hayian was responsible for thousands of deaths and homelessness for so many more.
I was fortunate enough to be able to head to Tacloban earlier in the year. Although lending a hand with the relief efforts was extremely rewarding, the stories of the survivors broke my heart. The stories of mothers losing their babies, siblings drowning and parents missing were so common and this will forever effect the people of Tacloban.
Here's the opportunity. To build a house for a Filipino family it costs roughly 50,000 pesos (or $1300 Australian Dollars). I would love to be able to give the gift of a home to a family in Tacloban but I need your help!
