Bring Cage Football To Life

It's time to bring back the superstars of the round ball into the Cage - for them to once again showcase to the world their amazing skills and flair with the round ball!

Hosted by Eric Cantona,  the fictitious cage football secret tournament hosted by Nike in 2002 featured awesome stars like Ronaldinho, Figo, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Totti, Henry and many other great players. Also known as the Secret Tournament, Scorpion KO - it inspired a generation of football players and fans. 

It showcased creativity, daring, panache - and showed that the best players of beautiful game not only had skills and tricks to mesmorise, but humour and respect for each other...and they all had a deep love of the roundball game in its purest and rawest form. 

That was ten years ago and its time to bring the best players in world today together for a REAL cage football game!

Can you imagine Cristiano Ronaldo vs Messi?
Oscar vs Neymar?
Van Persie vs Rooney?
Maybe Iniesta vs Xavi?
And of-course we might bring back a few past guns like Zidane, Ronaldinho and Figo for some of their magic.
And throw in futsal super stars Falcao and Ricardinho for good measure!

 
And it will all happen inside a cage where skill and creativity is paramount!

We will aim to hold it at London's O2 Areana where 20,000 fans can watch it live. 

We need US$100,000 to bring this concept back to life in 2013.

It will be two teams of 3 v 3, each team with 2 substitutions.

The match will be played in 10 minute quarters. 

A goal is scored when the ball hits the net or a Panna (nutmeg) occurs. 

It will feature global superstars of football - as many of them as we can convince to participate!

Here is how the money you contribute will be used:

*$60k as deposits for securing world class players

*$20k to secure a venue, preferrably London's O2 Area for ease of access to the best players in the world. 

*$20k for marketing and promotion of the event. 

The rest of the money to pay for the cost of the event will be covered by ticket sales. 

All people who help fund this event on this page will receive some type of reward (please read reward section).

The rest of the money required to pay for this event will be gathered from ticket sales to the game. 

We plan to donate profits from this event to UNICEF's children's fund.

We can't guarantee to secure all the best players we listed on here...but we will try! But injury and availability will determine their appearance. We will schedule the game at a time when club and international committments for players are at a minimal.
