April Veg Challenge & Vegan Feast

I was told to describe this fundraiser as "Mia can't eat bacon for a month - what's the bet she fails?"

Then, I thought about calling the whole thing "Because I Hate Plants".
'I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals, I'm a vegetarian because I hate plants' - see, I keep recalling this quote that I heard as a teenager, even though it's completely absurd and obviously isn't true for any vegetarian anywhere (... I think?). 
But for me, both parts of the quote are technically true, sort of. I do adore animals, but I also don't really like plants - flowers, for example, set off my allergies, so I have a deep-seated resentment of them. Botanical gardens are my worst nightmare! 

Ok, but in all seriousness, we (Indie, Mia and Anna) have challenged ourselves to go vegan for a month in support of our own views on factory farming and animal rights. 

However, I'm not actually planning on eating many flowers in the next month, so unfortunately I am not really able to take out my revenge on the right set of plants. Hrrmph.

We also thought we could use this opportunity to raise awareness of these issues within our community (online and actual!) and among our peers and in doing so, encourage contributions to a fund that will ultimately go entirely to an animal rights or animal rescue organisation.
