Hello everyone,

Have you been on a winery or brewery tour in the Charlottesville area? Or dreamed of a day in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains with someone else doing the driving? Need a peaceful ride to your airport connections? Let’s work together to and make sure that your next ride is ready! My name is Norman Gallimore and I am the owner/operator of Norm’s Transportation (AKA: Norm’s Taxi Service). I specialize in Wine Tours and Executive Transportation. Having served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps and 10 years in law enforcement, I have gained a deep appreciation for teamwork and lending a helping hand. That’s why I am humbly calling upon all of you, my “team”, for your help.

I started Norm’s Transportation Company in February 2010 with myself as the only driver and just one vehicle. Like most businesses, there were some growing pains and lessons learned but, I made it through those without having to ask anyone for help. Now I am faced with a growing pain that I cannot face alone. The demand for my service, both for wine tours and executive transportation, as well as other transportation needs, has been on the rise and I am in dire need of adding at least one more vehicle to my fleet. My current and primary vehicle has 360,000 miles on it and it’s time to retire it, however, due to the demand for my services this can’t happen unless I'm able to get at least one, if not two vehicles. Two vehicles for my service would better allow me to serve my clients, without having to rent vehicles which drastically cuts into the profits. My dilemma is, with 3 kids in college, a disabled wife, and my current financial obligations, taking on a loan of any kind is not an option for me and the small business loan companies want way too much return on their investment. This is my family’s main source of income and I need to be able to continue to provide for them in the best way I can. Adding at least one more vehicle will allow me to better provide for them and be more available for my client’s needs without having to turn down business because I didn't have an available vehicle. As I stated, it is very humbling for me to ask anyone for help, but I truly have no other options.
