Campaign Story
In 2011 my gorgeous partner Michael was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, after a huge operation and months of chemo therapy he was free of this horrendous disease for 12 months. In May 2014 on his 50th birthday we were told it had returned. After a gruelling 14 weeks of chemo and radiotherapy, it did not disappear. It has now spread and Mike has about 9-12 months left, to stay with us.
Mike is currently in Holland receiving treatment with a new drug, that is not available in the UK. He now needs another drug, to help fight this disease even more.
Mike is the most caring person I know and always puts others first. He has spent the last four years looking after his parents, who sadly are no longer with us. He has done this whilst going thru his own treatment.

Update posted by Angela Wright at 07:52 pmHello everyone. Just a quick update from Megan, Angela and Mike in Germany. I am doing the writing as he is quite poorly at the moment. Since the last update he has contracted pneumonia and has been finding it very difficult to breathe, so it has been a tough few. . . . .

I had a 'port' fitted in hospital earlier in the week, ( a semi-permanent tap via a chamber and catheter. . . . .

Update posted by Angela Wright at 06:08 pmAs most of you know, I'm in Germany now having treatment here which includes various infusions and Hypothermie ( localised heat treatment ) as cancer cells don't do well in temperatures above 42 degrees c. The last few weeks have been very tough.... The pain is now very bad and. . . . .
