Jordan’s recovery fund

Hi everyone! My cousin, who is more like a real brother to me, has recently been diagnosed with Central Pontine Myelinolysis (CPM). This is a neurological disease caused by severe damage in the myelin shealth of the brain cells in the brainstem. He just spent over 3 weeks in Intensive Care in Sofia, Bulgaria fighting for his life.  The CPM is rare and hard to diagnose, and left him in the so called locked-in sydnrome - completely paralyzed except for moving his eyes and incable of swallowing on his own. The prognosis was very dim and the doctors didn't believe he is going to make it. We , the people who love him, refused to accept this. Once he slipped back into consciousness , we were there every minute to beg, encourage, implore and support. I am gald to say our love lifted him up and the worst is over, he is stable, and he recovered the ability to breathe on his own. He is determined to live and recover his ability to walk and talk again. Many have succeeded in his condition before.  Doctors are planning on transferring him to a regular hospital room for a few weeks soon and then sedning him home. The rehabilitation process is going to be difficult, time consuming and expensive. The average monthly salary in Bulgaria is about $500.00 and we calculated we need an average of $2,000 a month to pay for all the needs, medications and rehabiliation sessions, a sum that is too big for his fiance and his mom and even me to cover on our own.  Please, help out with whatever you can. Jordan is only 34 years old and we are hoping for a very nice and fun life still in front of him. His laughter and sense of humor are so contagious ! The world truly needs him here.  Thank you!
