Help Sailor Get to NHI!

Sailor has been working her way through PREP each summer. In addition to PREP this summer, Sailor would like to go to National Hispanic Institute's Great Debate program.

This program helps Latino teens like Sailor learn to communicate more effectively - written and oral communication skills are crucial to today's students, especially when competing for selective college spots and scholarships. Sailor will be attending Saturday sessions with NHI for the rest of 2016, learning debating skills. She will pick a skill (cross examination, for example), and train for competition with experienced debaters. It's tough and intensive, but she is excited to take part.

Sailor's older sister was a part of the Great Debate champion team in 2013 - let's help Sailor accomplish the same in 2016!
