Jayne's Story:
Over the past 7 years Jayne's life has changed dramatically, she has endured more than anyone could possibly imagine.
Seven years ago, Jayne sustained a Traumatic Head Injury whilst working. This has left her with constant & debilitating pain. Undergoing procedures & treatments over the years with recurrent trips to hospital in a bid to grant some relief, rarely successful for long if at all. On top of this there is the government requirement to regularly prove your disability- a difficult & humiliating task, in order to receive the ever decreasing allowance on which to survive.
Less than a year ago Jayne & her Husband Nick became three, however due to complications during the birth of their Son, Joseph, Jayne sustained a fourth degree tear. As well as living with her neurological disability she has since had to undergo five major operations in attempt to repair the tear.
For a woman who embodies kindness itself, life has not been kind to her. There are regular ongoing treatments such as physiotherapy and oxygen recovery that can help alleviate the pain, make Jayne a little more comfortable and most importantly aid recovery. Alongside this, neurosurgeons have suggested having a neuro stimulator inserted in her occipital nerve which if successful will reduce the head pain. In America this can be trialed before having the implant permanently inserted into your body.
But of course all this comes at a cost. SO… we’d like to begin making a dent in this rather hefty price tag, at the same time raise awareness of the importance of 'Hidden Disabilities.'
Please give what you can. Thank you

I'm so sorry to hear your story - I recognized Nick from the Manuel Puro workshop earlier this year and clicked on the post. Massive respect and healing energy to you both for what you're going through, and I feel very privileged to have seen you (and your son!) acting together in the self tapes

One year on
Update posted by Rebecca Osorio at 06:42 pmA little update. Around a year ago at this time I felt the love and support of my friends and family in the most beautiful way. Jen organised a fundraising evening for me and so many people contributed and attended. The room was full of so much love it brings. . . . .
