Important 30 day fund-raiser to buy Family tents for Camp Badger. Please help us, help them save badgers lives!

OK, so thanks to you all we met out £260 target in only 6 days and have so far purchased 4 large tents. Well done everybody! I raised the target to £360 and in one day we made it (with a kind gentleman's £100 donation) so the target goal has now been raised again to £470 Can we do this?.... You bet we can!

We actually need tents for probable 6 cull zones next year if rolled out, so have decided since the auction runs for another 3 weeks we would like to ask you to keep sharing and tweeting this page's link so we can buy much more tents for each camp. I'm raising the fund marker to £360 (now £470) so let's please push this for the badgers!

We need to buy these NOW! Please help us! We only have 30 days to fund this project, please do help!

Donations would enable us to purchase large, second hand family tents, fixing kits and water-proofer for tents so we can set up some nice spaces for visitors to use at next years Camp badger sites in Dorset, Gloucester, Somerset and roll out sites. (As we know they will roll this disgusting badger cull out further in 2016, hence why we really do need your help!)

We hope that the £260 raised here would fund around another four tents (possibly even 5 dependant on prices we can bid for them on) and some kits also, looking at second hand prices we have managed to buy from off ebay so far, see below...but we are also looking on other sites such as gumtree and local facebook sites for the best tents and best monetary deals too!

we have managed to buy two second hand tents (photo's of these are at the end of picture list) so far for this project but we need much more. We purchased a Lichfield Arapaho 6 person tent for £45.00 and a Coleman 9 person tent for £51.00 leaving £4.00 to put towards our next tent. We are documenting all donations and purchases for this project and these tents already purchased will be collected by volunteers and delivered to me so I can pitch them and waterproof ready for next year. Many fellow volunteers will be doing the same then storing them until they are needed and shared out equally between the cull zone camp badger sites pre set up period.

The larger tents are also important because last year we fund-raised for comfortable metal camp beds and found that these need to be housed in the larger tents, as we can't fit them into the small ones. The larger tents in combination with a camp bed, offer people a better nights rest and therefore keep morale and enthusiasm up for fighting the good fight to help save badgers lives!

We need to encourage more boots on the ground and these will help along way in doing that, also some people arrive at night and are unable to pitch tents until the next day or arrive in awful weather, so these tents will allow people to get out walking saving badgers lives without having to worry about wasting a few hours setting up tents.

We are starting this project now due to it not being camping season and we can pick up a lot more second hand tents for much less money. each year we learn more and more about how to make peoples lives easier at camp, but at the same time we are being spread further and further afield. This year there were 3 cull zones, there may be 6 next year and we don't want to be caught out with not enough tents or having to spend hundreds on a tent that we can get now "out of season" for a fraction of the cost second hand.

The aim is to buy 6/7/8/9 or even 10 person tents with separate bedroom areas, that may even need small fixes (which we can do ourselves) and we will also waterproof them ready for next years camps.

Each of the tents fund-raised for will be distributed to each of the cull zones Camp badger teams by rotation so that each team have a fair distribution and receive equally as wonderful tents so that we all pull together and have a great start to building the bigger team picture. As I said, together we are stronger, so let's make this happen people, without you we cannot help our badgers survive these culls so that your grandchildren and the next generation can take pleasure in watching them survive and thrive in their natural environment!

The first two tents and the next one will be distributed between the 3x southern badger cull zones and the next one will be given to Gloucester zone and so on...equally.
